…the process: When there is damage to your home, stress levels can run high. On this page and in our client welcome packet we have worked to provide you with all that you need to know about the process of cleaning up and restoring your home so that you can be prepared for the experience. We’ve tried to cover as much as we can, but of course there’s always more, so we welcome your questions and feedback.

…payment: Insurance claims it can take a while to get the funds necessary to start the rebuild. In our years of experience we’ve had claims take anywhere from a couple of weeks to over a year! If you are on a strict timeline we are happy to work with you, but need upfront payment to get restoration work started. If your insurance company does not submit payment in a timely fashion, you may have to consider an additional line of credit or loan to complete the work.

…the timing: There are many different things that can affect the timing of your project.

Insurance claims: We are happy to work with your insurance company to support you in getting the damage to your home paid for when applicable. However, when we work with insurance companies the timing of your project can change based on their decisions and timeline for submitting payment.

Mortgage Company Negotiations: Oftentimes your insurance company will have to negotiate the terms of their coverage with your mortgage company.

Loan approval: We have worked with clients in the past who need their project done quicker than the insurance company is able to get payment to them. Many of these clients have chosen to apply for a loan or utilize a line of credit to cover the work so that it can get done sooner.

Client Preference: We love helping you to rebuild your home to meet and exceed your expectations, however, sometimes the materials chosen take much longer to be ordered and arrive than anticipated. This often happens with custom finishings such as cabinets, floors and countertops.

Emergency Needs: We love the Northwest, but the weather here can be so unpredictable! Please keep in mind that we are an emergency service – water mitigation emergency services often take priority and can sometimes push rebuild or contracting jobs back. If this rebuild philosophy doesn’t work for you, you may want to consider going with another general contractor. Please let us know – we would be happy to refer you to one of our trusted contractors.

…Service Quality: We believe in providing the highest quality of service. In our experience, properties that are evaluated and dried out as thoroughly as possible last longer and have few future problems.

There are other companies out there that cut corners to provide a faster and less expensive service–however, in the long run, these services often lead to more extensive problems (such as mold) later.

We believe in drying out your property so that there is no chance of mold occurring in the future due to the recent damage to your home. At times, this involves going beyond “top down” drying. At times it is important for us to be able to tear out and replace damaged materials such as drywall, carpet and pad, among other things.

Our priority is to go through the necessary processes with you to determine what makes sense for your needs and budget.

Many dry-out companies have to pull their equipment after 3-5 days regardless of whether or not materials are dry down to an acceptable moisture level of the interior structure of the materials. They do this because the insurance company they work with will not pay any more than 3-5 days of drying. This can result in moldy situations later as the moisture of the materials evaporates. We pride ourselves on providing complete and thorough dry-out service.
